To help you excel in your favourite sports, we provide a wide selection of prescription sports safety glasses and goggles, as well as sports sunglasses, from leading sports eyewear brands like Oakley, Zeal and Bolle.
Prescription sports safety glasses and goggles
Sports safety glasses serve two purposes:
- Eye protection, specific to the sport
- Vision correction, if required
As specialists in sports specific glasses and sunglasses, we can help you to identify your requirements and choose the right eye protection and vision correction for your favourite sport.
We also offer prescription sports masks and goggles for water sports like swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving, with best-sphere or full prescription options available.
We can also provide Snow Goggle Inserts which can be glazed to a large prescription range, and even with varifocals if required. Please bring in your goggle to see if one of our options is suitable.
Why should I wear sports glasses?
Sports glasses are specially designed for a safe, secure fit when worn for sport.
Whilst spectacles and sunglasses offer style and practicality for everyday living, they are not designed for the movement, speed and impact associated with many of the sports listed above.
Specialist sports need specialist gear. We can advise on the requirements for your particular sport, such as tinted lenses, UV protection, specialist fit and eye protection.

If you’re considering purchasing a pair of prescription sports glasses or goggles, you’ve come to the right place.
You can shop online and choose from a range of swimming goggles from just £35.00, available in a range of spherical corrections (without astigmatic correction) – just choose the nearest Sph (DS) measurements from your most recent prescription. There’s no need to send in your prescription to us, but we are happy to advise if you would like some help choosing.
We can also provide iRx Full Prescription Swimming Goggles, which do incorporate astigmatic correction up to +/- 6.00 DC. These are a fully bespoke product and as such our Dispensing Opticians must take full measurements in person, so please call us on 01273 843946 to arrange an appointment should you wish to view this range of swimming goggle. Prices start from £120.00 for the iRx range.
